OK you may have caught me out here (first time i think ). I cant say 100% if what I said was correct but it was my understanding that the police vehicles are not subject to licencing as they are a government car. This seems to fit as cars are bought and sold in the fleet every month but they always carry the 6/year rego. I sure I was told as much by a sergeant once when I was given a handfull of stickers and told to go change all the cars stickers over.

Seems crazy to make the government pay licencing to the government, but I guess it is the government.
