All police vehicles (according to the TRELIS system) are registered to the Commissioner of Police and have had full TPI and duty paid.

OK you may have caught me out here (first time i think

). I cant say 100% if what I said was correct but it was my understanding that the police vehicles are not subject to licencing as they are a government car. This seems to fit as cars are bought and sold in the fleet every month but they always carry the 6/year rego. I sure I was told as much by a sergeant once when I was given a handfull of stickers and told to go change all the cars stickers over.
Seems crazy to make the government pay licencing to the government, but I guess it is the government.
