I would have thought it would be better to have MARKED cop cars out there, to prevent stuff happening and being proactive rather than reactive.

More of a deterrant really.

I tend to agree ... The ride up o'briens rd the other day proved this ... we had the attention of the police (even though it was unmarked we knew who he was cos he had just pulled someone over) and it made us ride like grannies the whole time just knowing he was there.

If the police REALLY believed 100% what they were saying that "Speed Kills" etc etc then they would have a marked patrol car on every corner, not like now where you can potentially ride across the whole city and not see a single one.

I say patrol the heck outa the roads (who cares, roads are for going from A to B legally) but provide multiple locations that are very cheap where you can go to flog your bike/car around a controlled track and a drag strip and a skid pan for burnouts/stunts etc. ... Get it outa your system in a controlled environment and just commute on the roads. I know there is Barbagallo but it is not cheap or accessible enough.

I didn't think that through too hard but it seems like it would make sense. For the mean time I will just do all this crap on the roads cos there ain't nowhere else to do it!
