Wrong. Motorcycles are exempt from the law that requires other vehicles to keep to the left, as of the 2000 Road Traffic Code.
Either postion (right or left) is ok, depending on the situation at that particular moment on that part of the road. You can NOT be in the oil, and when moving from left wheel track to right wheel track you MUST check you blind spot. And you should not be moving across the road every two seconds, unless there are land mines!
The generally accepted "safest and dominant" position is
Single lane - just the the right of the oil - ie right wheel track
Dual lane - in the left land to right of the oil, in the right lane, to the left of the oil.
