Sure, you are not being tested on being able to follow directions, however if you look really timid on the bike 'cause you don't know where the fark you are and you start doing silly things as a result due to nerves etc, you possibly won't be deemed ready - then again, I guess if you are really timid and start doing farking stupid things then you aren't ready for your license...

Anyways, I reckon it helps to be familiar with the area so you can concentrate on the riding rather the directions.

Agreed...I was alot calmer doing my test in welshpool because i knew the area i was being taken in. When i did my test in Midland I was too busy concentrating on not getting lost!!
