so you've effectively lengthened the cable run at both ends? ie wound the adjusters out away from the levers?

If it's just an adjustment then this should mean that the clutch is permanently "pulled in", ie can click gears with engine running, let clutch out and nothing happens.

But for the bike to stall when you let the clutch out sounds a little more sinister...
