You only have to put part of the leads on the bike, which are attached to the battery. Be sure to get one which will comfortably charge your battery (amps). And with a reasonably long cord so you don't have to fiddle around with extension cords or move your bike into a silly spot to get to a power point. Something like this: Epicycle Battery Charger
