Tongue in cheek, rhomo. Tongue in cheek.

Actually, I'm pretty happy with my rep points. Because I don't have a gaggle of sycophants sniffing around my e-bum, and I don't play a game of "oooh, you gave me rep so I'll give you some too". If I really like a post - either it's informative, helpful, or just funny, I'll +ve rep it. If I really hate it? I'll -ve rep it. Doesn't happen often. Yes, I put my name on reps unless I can see the recipient is a platinum supporter.

The rep I've gotted has come from many people, over many things, has been a healthy mix of "I appreciate that comment" either in the context of keeping a thread happy or actually contributing something useful AND of negative rep in the form of "wind your head in, fuckwit".

It's a useful gauge to a self confessed PSB addict/whore, allowing everyone a chance to help moderate my massive e-peen.

Your comments interest me too, because I see the top repped few members and none of them seem to fit the mould of the "whiny little groups on here and they'll just follow each other around like flies on shit + repping each other (to the point they have to 'spread' their reputation) before sliding their ePeen back up their mate because they posted a picture of a fat dog."

Nor have I seen any significant "rise in bullshit posts" since the introduction of the rep system.

Perhaps, Rhino, you need to widen your understanding of what makes members "notable and valued in our community", of what consists a post "that 'adds value' to PSB.".

Cheers mate.

BTW - your poll lacks the option pairs that make sense of
-"I genuinely use it to identify valuable users" + "Keep it - it's working just fine and is useful"; or
-"I get a laugh from it" + "Keep it - It's just for shits and giggles"
