Modern engine thinking as far as power generation goes (for 4 strokes) is backpressure = bad.

There's no need for it (bearing in mind that its still possible to go to a pipe that's too big, but that's because it will cause the exhaust gas to cool down too much on its way out which makes it flow slower and you lose the extraction effect).

No, you won't burn valves, you just ramp the fuel up a bit with your EFI.

But yeah, like desmo said, 10% gain from a slip on is a pretty bloody big ask.

Add a power commander and some dyno time and you might get somewhat close. If you can get rid of the cat (full system reqd) you'll free up a bit more most likely.
