Well here is the final push to get this baby sorted for the 2 stroke day.
Exhaust off again! f!@#ing leaks! the sealant didn't stick very well on this pipe so I have cleaned it up with a scourer pad and applied the sealant better this time around. Fingers crossed.
Well it did give me a chance to see how the heat wrap was doing. In some parts, not very well unfortunately! so I carefully dented the pipe to get the clearance I needed. Also the head had a bit of wear on it so I have put more heat wrap where it was rubbing, hopefully it won't rub through this time. The scratch near the middle of the dent is where the side stand rubbed through the heat wrap.
Time to put her clothes back on. As usual, these were filthy and had an inch of shit on them.
Got the dremel out and modified the V piece to take the straight plug heads. I'm pretty happy with the result, looks factory.
Done!
New tyres on tomorrow and 2 stroke day on saturday. Just got to dodge the rain now so she stays clean!
