The shakes - and not the drinky kind
Cherry, my first blog ebba in the world.
Here's my week...
I am a reasonably healthy person, I get the odd cold and a bit of hayfever throughout the year - but thats it.
I am quite a warm person (heat wise, AND emotionally - thanks laydeez
) never had any major illness nor broken bones or injuries, for my age i feel quite lucky.
So monday night i don't sleep well (maybe 1-2hrs kip) and take Tuesday off to relax and recoup.
Tuesday arvo i get a little nasty bum.
Tuesday night maybe 10pm i get ready for bed and get cold, very cold, SHIVERING like a little puppy kind of cold.
So i don a second doona. no help.
I end up going to bed in tracky pants, a hoodie, socks and 2 doona's and still couldnt stop shaking.
Not going to work on wednesday!
During wednesday the bumness gets worse and i start to get tummy cramps - sort of like a big fart that wont come out.
Wed night I am really tired but start to get cold on the couch about 7pm. The kind of cold that makes me shake like I have parky's (no disrespect - but you get the idea).
I go to have a shower to try and warm up and it takes 15 minutes before the goose bumps go.
I lean over and shut the bathroom door as under the hot water i can still feel a draft coming in and the missus races in yelling 'whats wrong did you fall over and close the door?"
"no honey i leaned over and closed it BUUUUUUUURLPGGPLLPL"
Great, so now I am freezing cold, standing under a boiling shower with a liquid bum and I throw up all of my dinner onto the wall of the shower and my feet.
Its at this point the missus wants to drive me to hospital but i say no with a great aussie "nah i'll be alright", and she ends up going and putting the electric blanket on the bed.
I get out of the shower and on with the trackies, hoodie and sox and its off to bed...to find she forgot to turn said lekky blank on, thanks Babe.
