Blog #34 - Suga n Spice n all things... Naughty hehehehe

Posted 26-06-2007 at 10:56 PM by joneen13
Hello fellow bloggers,

I’m currently writing this blog via email with the intention to post later as my workplace has blocked PSB for some reason… Grr!

So again, it’s been a long time since I last blogged, that’s because I couldn’t be fcuked but here goes:

What’s happened… hmm… oh! I had my very first off!
The night before I was talking to Elle after we’d come home from that night’s ride and we were sitting in the lounge room chatting about her offs and what it was like yada yada yada but anyhoo, 23 May 2007, I got up early that morning as I had to take my car to the repairers (to get the rear bumper fixed) so my only mode of transportation left was the Black Bike from Hell (or BBFH, aka: 1970-something Kawasaki GPX 250cc that has been down roughly 3 times previously, sounds like a beast, runs like a mad-man). I geared up and giggled to Elle that if I did come off I’d have plenty of protection as I was wearing my work clothes underneath my bike gear. So I jumped on and headed on my merrily way to work, it was a bit damp but not to bad conditions. It was a surprisingly good ride, I lane-split easily through to the front of the lights at every chance, had smooth take off’s, didn’t really have any problems with the traffic, it was all pretty peachy until I got to the Leach Highway/Carrington Street Intersection. I slowed down to check for oncoming traffic, there was a security car entering the intersection from the other side but I had plenty of time to get around so I continued. I came around the corner and the next thing I knew I was low sliding across both lanes behind the bike before slamming into the curb. I saw the oncoming cars coming towards me but luckily they managed to get out of the way before I became a speed hump.
I jumped up and pulled of my (brand spanking new) helmet and gloves before I was joined by a Chubb security guard (the one that was cornering when I entered the intersection) to help pick up the bike. We got it to stand on the island in the middle of the road and I started making phone calls: Sandra (Owner of BBFH/My Housemate’s mum/My landlord) who sent her brother (in law?) to come rescue me & the bike, Mum to advise I’m fiiiine but I may need to borrow her car for a couple of days and boss Tony who advised me that he had had somewhat of a premonition that something bad was going to happen that morning and that I should go see a doctor. I was fine and prepared to head to work anyway but the bike wouldn’t start. While waiting for Sandra’s brother (in law?) I sucked down a couple of cancer sticks to calm the nerves and I even managed to get the bike started, except, I couldn’t get it out of first gear… Upon closer inspection, it appeared that I’d added minor damage (lots of scratches) to the left hand side fairing, The road had filed off half of the left hand centre stand peg and the gear thingy was bent. Sandra’s brother (in law?) rocked up and had a squizz, he advised that I’d probably be able to get it to work but only in first gear. I decided it would probably be best to just get it towed instead. So again, back on the ringer, I called dad (free tow) who was conveniently in Port Hedland or something, I called Sabre1 (your local friendly PSB towie) but couldn’t get through and finally I tried RAC after I’d remembered that I had Roadside Assist and was sure that a tow was included in the cover. In the meantime, I’d had a tow-truck pull up and offer his services, which I had declined due to the supposedly free tow I’d be receiving from the good folk at RAC. So Gino rocks up, a smooth talking sleaze of a tow-truck driver if I ever did see one and he loads and secures BBFH onto the back of his truck. I jump in and direct him homeward-bound whilst making/receiving 10 million phone calls trying to organize whatever needed to be done all while he’s crackin the sleazes at me (I don’t recall any other time where I was called babe/sweetie/hunny/gorgeous/baby) in one conversation, more than I had in that cab… Aaaaaanyways, I get a call from RAC who now advises me, “We’re so sorry, but this tow isn’t included on your Roadside Assist Policy due to your vehicle being involved in an accident.” Shit, so like, I have to pay for this myself now? I advise Gino I’ll need to get some cash out and he drops into the local IGA for me, I forked out $150.00 for less than a ½ hour ride! OMG! We get back to mine and he unloads the bike, I get all my bike gear off (he then exclaims that I look “fcuking hot” out off all that gear, barf!). So to cut a really long story short, mum’s friend came to pick me up and take me to mum & dad’s (as mum had taken the bus to work). Mum took me to the doctor, though only injury I obtained was a GINORMOUS bruise on the back of my leg (pictured below). My gear on the other hand suffered a little more, My left glove now has a hole at the wrist and my pants were ripped to shreds. I didn’t touch the ground from the waist up so jacket and brand new helmet survived, no worries, hooray!

Ooh, update on the whole PSB being banned at work thing, I sent an email to the IT Department a little something like this:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Good afternoon, Was just wondering if you could shed some light on why www.perthstreetbikes.com was banned?

It is a website I frequent during my lunch break which as far as I am concerned does not contravene the Company Policy regarding internet usage in the workplace.</div>I got a reply something like this:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>This has now been un-blocked.

This was blocked during routine maintenance.

Management has authorised it’s removal from the blocked sites list.</div>

Hooray! I’m back on the air!!

Oh, Elle, Bex and myself hosted the MOTHER of all 21st’s on the 26th of May. It was out in the middle of nowhere (my parent’s block of land in Bullsbrook), We had it all covered, shelter, fire, porta-potty, dj, booze GALORE!, one-on-one action female style which I may or may not have been involved in (hehehe), and we even provided a hearty breakfast in the morning, which btw, I missed coz no1 bothered to wake me up… grr! You can check out piccy's here!

I got tix to Christina!!! I’m going with Deni and Kris (both got half price tix for their b.day’s, compliments me ). I’m SOOOO freakin excited, I’m so in love with Xtina and I’m goin to see her live, LIVE in concert! OMG!

My birthday has come and gone yet again, this one was the big 2-1! I’m finally a real adult! Would you believe it? (no? Me either!). Didn’t do much, went to dinner with the family, classy as always. Went to the local Chinese place in High Wycombe (Camilla, go there, its awesome!), dad wore his flanno’s (coz he’s just that classy), my sister consumed 2/3’s of the entire table and I’m sure she threw it all up afterwards… I really believe that my mother and I are the only sane one’s in my family, and I’m just verging on crazy too… it’s not looking good for the Houghton’s lol!

Got my cage serviced, $296.00! owch! AND, I need a new set of tyres @ $160 each . I'm told if Popo pull me over, Ima be in BIG trouble.

Got my hoodie and neckwarmer, Me n Elley-poo’s went n picked em up from the Windsor on Thursady night. Elle went on Wednesday night to pick up some for her/her mum and someone else but she dropped one of her neckwarmers and needed to go back the following night. We ended up going on the Friday night also to get some cool PSB stickers for our hot rides. Dragged Deni and Kris with, sucked in!

I attended my best friend Mel's neice Isabelle’s 1st birthday party, complete with a petting zoo, the biggest freaking birthday cake (half of which went to waste I hear) and most importantly, Beer (just jokes!). Twas an interesting event, especially the part where Isabelle back handed a baby chicken off the petting zoo owner's hand, THAT was funny shit!

Well, I did it, I went to Gero for softball... All sorts of shenanigans took place! i have a bazillion photos, hopefully i'll get around to posting them up as well, or at least some... So we packed up the yellow submarine and I escorted Deni, Kris, Danielle and my good self to the wonderful world of Geraldton. A short run-down of what happened: We played 8 games over two days, we won 1. 29yo Danielle hooked up with a fellow campsite resident, we'll call him &quot;39yo Greg&quot; on the Saturday(?) night, and then, hooked up with &quot;19yo can't remember his name&quot; on the Sunday night, Mum (not mine but my adopted softball mum Kelly) got stuck in an esky and managed to get maggot on 3 (repeat, 3) cans of Black Douglas, Deni and her dad (my Coach - Brian) both got locked in our dorm's bathroom (which by the way is without a locking system), i found a tick on my thigh, what else? Oh, Krissy had an incident with a bird hitting my windscreen! umm... yeh, so much happened... basically we had a freakin awesome time, in fact, probably the best time of my life... And i didn't get drunk once! lol!

I have been in my new job for over a month now. I work for a company called Sealanes, it operates out of Fremantle and we supply and distribute supplies to Ships and local businesses. I work in the Shipping (Oil and Gas) dept as a Offshore Support Officer, which basically means I sit in front of a computer an imput orders all day (but mostly i just surf PSB lol!). It's ok, its a job I guess but I tell ya, I was meant for so much more... I need a more challenging job, one that actually requires brain cells but I just have NO idea what I actually wanna do... The people I work with are awesome. Boss went away on a &quot;business trip&quot; up north in my third/fourth week, it was one of the guys birthday's in my office so I got invited across the road to share a couple of bevvy's and bets to celebrate... We were there for about an hour and a half-two hours (I get a half hour lunch break), before the office snitch came along and spoilt our fun, he dobbed us in and we had to go back, at this point we was all pretty drunkered... Boss came back and didn't even bat an eyelid at it, in fact he assured me I wasn't in trouble! I think i'm his favourite

It would appear that I am now going to Fallout Boy, how excitement!

Ummm...

ok, I think that's just about it from me for now, will try keep you posted more frequently mkay!

Til next time,
