Catching up

Posted 11-06-2006 at 02:30 PM by tigerleo (and why the fark not)
Well, the blogs are back online, so perhaps time to do some catching up with the significant happenings in my life of late...

Smoking Buddy:
Well, my smoking buddy started in a new position at another campus last week After applying for several jobs in the past 12 months she finally landed one that gave her a 2 level pay rise. So, I am very happy for her, and happy that her application for the position needed little editing,...

I'm a .com!

Posted 23-03-2006 at 10:57 PM by tigerleo (and why the fark not)
Wow, today I made it - I am now a .com!!!

AND it only cost me AU$118.80!

Why so excited? Well, because this is what "Learn the Net.com" has to say about .com registrations:

".com--For businesses, commercial enterprises, or online services like America Online. Most companies use this extension. "

Shit day

Posted 01-03-2006 at 06:29 PM by tigerleo (and why the fark not)
Well it didn't start that well and didn't get any better, so I suppose I shouldn't complain, but:

1. Couldn't get to sleep last night until well after 01:30 am after spending 2 to 3 hours tossing and turning in bed

2. Alarm goes off at 06:30 - this was a surprise as I had only just felt like I had gotten to sleep

3. Ride to work with no dramas and no cages trying to annihilate me (probably the best part of the day) and notice the trip meter...

What a farkin top day!

1 The bikini wash:
The bikini wash was great - very relaxed and pleasant down by the sea. The weather was superb with a light cloud cover and fresh breeze - not at all hot.

But the bikini girls were hot This is what they did to my bike

Phobias...

Posted 17-02-2006 at 02:25 PM by tigerleo (and why the fark not)
I don't like spiders.

I think it stems from an experience when I was about 6 or 7 years of age when I was woken by my parents and told not to look behind me. Of course I did look and on the wall above where my head would have been was one hell huge black spider...

So from that moment I think a developed an irrational fear of the 8 legged critters. The fact that my father didn't kill the monster but instead put it out through the bedroom window didn't help either...
