I'm struggling with some imprecision in the corners when I'm on my klr250 motard. There is just a vagueness there that makes it really confidence sapping when you find yourself taking a sharper suburban corner that wouldn't challenge a car.

I have no problems cornering with gusto on the instructor's vtr250. In fact, only by riding that could I sense how differently the bike responds to a corner when you are leaning forward vs when you are sitting further back. Trying the same tricks on the klr doesn't evoke much of a response at all. In addition to that, there just doesn't seem to be much feedback when you actually start to lean into the corner. All this adds up to a pretty large amount of puckering when you are going at rav4 suburban speeds.

I'm aware that there are going to be much lower limits to be had from a softly sprung road trail with conservative geometry - fair enough. However if there are any techniques, tips, or pointers that I'm missing here, I'd like to hear them.

Hey y'all hows things around here these days?

Enough pleasantries, I noticed coolant on the ground whilst putting air in my tyres this morn and sure enough a leak in the radiator the size of a bee's dick. It's pushing out a stream not much bigger than the width of a human hair onto my front fender.

I'm wanting to use radiator stop leak fluid as well as some JB weld to patch the outside rather than just go the way of getting the rad welded.

So to those who have been there and done that... Do you think these methods will stand a good chance of working? Or better to just rip it out and take it in for repair?

And yes a radiator guard is now on my list of shit to buy soon so please no Captain Hindsight comments.

Thank You.

Hey all,

Up for sale is my Alpinestars A10 Air-Flo pants with the zip to attach to A* jackets same as here - Alpinestars A-10 Air-Flo Pants - RevZilla
these touched my exhaust on the part that you can take off and replace with a knee slider, worn twice, too small for me, these would fit a person with US size 32 jeans.

and a pair of Icon kevlar jeans with removable insulated liner same as here - Icon Insulated Denim Pants - RevZilla
these are size 34 but are a very baggy fit, probably for the bigger bloke normally size 36-38. These are so comfy, it's like PJ's inside, and they're removable for summer :)

A* pants - $150
Icon kevlars for what I bought them for, never used - tried them on, tags still attached - $125

Just hoping i could get some personal experience about the list of bikes im looking to choose from.

I know asking the question "what would the best litre bike from japan be"? can be very broad, at the end of the day i want a bike i' am confortable on, can ride without feeling like it wants to throw me off etc..

So my question more relates to the general maintenance, ease of servicing, finding parts, common known issues etc...

List of bikes:
Yamaha R1 2012/2013
ZX10R 2012/2013
GSXR 1000 2012/2013
CBR1000RR 2012/2013

I have considered a ducatti but the price range blows my budget out.

any information from personal experiences would be greatly appreciated, any bike can be expensive to maintain, repair etc...but im not just basing my purchase on the smallest amount of $$ needed to keep it running, but i at least want to have an idea of how difficult somethings could be per manufacturer.

thanks,

After I T-Boned my Triumph Daytona 675 into a P plater who didn't stop at a stop sign I was in hospital and the nurse came up to me and asked rather smugly in front of my parents "so will you be getting another bike?"... I of course replied with the obligatory "ASAP" much to the disappointment of my folks (I could tell by the whiteness of their faces) hahah.

Either way, went and got myself my dream bike today, partly because I believe I won't ride it as much = won't expose myself to getting fucked up again.
