    2013 Harley's

Not a big fan of the HD's unless your talking pan/nuckle etc. But being stuck at home recovering gets very tedious, so I thought you HD boys might want a gander (the rest of you forgive me for my sins ).
Only one new model next year and it looks to be a limited run rigid from the pic

This is the new model called the Breakout (gets the thumbs down from me).

THE Breakout is Harley's only significantly 'new' model for 2013 and as a CVO machine it's going to be made in limited numbers at a high price.

Based on the Softail chassis, it gets the firm's 110 cubic inch engine and what it describes as 'hot rod' styling. That means 'turbine' wheels, plenty of chrome and metalflake paint.
Read more details here: Harley's real new model for 2013 - Motorcycle news: New bikes - Visordown

And looks like HD is going easy rider again.

FORGET toned-down, matt-black customs, subtle aluminium finishes and tatty exhaust wrap – Harley is bringing back the era of wild paint and blinding chrome.

The lack of significant new models for 2013 might be disappointing, but Harley's decision to bring back the sort of metal-flake paint associated with the late 60s and early 70s is an interesting departure from the stripped-back, bad-to-the-bone customs that have been in vogue for the last few years.

Harley will make the metal-flake available on the Seventy-Two, Street Bob, Blackline, Softail and Forty-Eight models. There will also be two-tone sets and fuels tanks from the 'Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories Color Shop' for the Sportster, Dyna, Softail and Touring models

I'd pick the Rocker C if I was going the HD route...
Awesome base line, but I certainly couldn't leave a cruiser as stock...

Not entirely sure they are in the current line up.

Interesting that a bunch of sport bike riders choose the worst handling H-D's

V-Rod, unless I wanted a big cruiser H-D, in which case it'd be a Roadking Custom (FLHRS)

If you're picking a bike for its handling, you'd avoid a HD all together...

Breakout looks good but CVO will cost lots of $$$
They still seem to be getting rid of the last stock of 96 cube still for the super glides.

It's definitely not a rigid, they wouldn't be brave enough to do that. But for a Softail it looks pretty good.

that's the idea of the softail, it gets harley riders excited.....

i mean it hides the suspension underneath so it looks like they're riding a real bike

I was hoping they would continue along the V-Rod path; seems Harley fanboys still haven't worked out what water cooling does for an engine...

I'd like the Breakout using a dark and light shade of green instead of the red.

The Street Bob in green metal-flake with polished engine/transmission looks good.

Hmmm, I only looked "metal-flake street bob" up quickly on my phone. Not sure how I missed that one...

I've had a long held plan to strip all the stainless and chrome from my Triumph America and get it all electroless Ni plated including the engine/box casing, barrels, head, etc. Tank and fenders all in metal-flake green (similar to what they've used on the Sporty) and dark green flake for the frame. I've always loved that combo. It might be time I bit the bullet and did it.
