Mate has one, he loves it (not the night rod).
He bought a screen though which he reckons helps with longer trips.
He had a problem with front brakes binding but other than that trouble free.
My brother has a Night Rod, I've ridden it quite a few times seems to go pretty well. He put a 2-1 race pipe on it but I don't think they have set up the mixture properly because it misses a bit if you are not fanging it, the noise is horrific. He's had no problems.

One of the members has a supercharged vrod for sale if you are interested. Look in the for sale section
If you're buying second hand steer clear of the series 1 ones. The fuel tank is far too fucking small. You'll get 125kms out of it before red light comes on. Apparently the later versions aren't so bad.
Work Buy Consume Die
You can get an after market tank to change it to a 20l
My dads friend has one. They sound absolutely awesome.

Chuck Norris is 1/8th Cherokee. This has nothing to do with ancestry, the man ate a fucking Indian.
Nice bikes.
The new ones have ABS and it's not to bad. You need to watch the rear brake line isnt to close to the exhaust on the Night Rod.

The brakes on the Night Rod were good but the exhaust scraped too easily for my lining, maybe it hadn't been mounted correctly. I'll tell my brother to check that brake line.

Neighbour has a vrod and has done a fair amount of upgrades on it. Stock tyres are shit has upgraded the pipes and cams. Not sure of exact details. All I know is, when I took it for a ride I seriously considered buying 1 myself! It corners like a sportsbike, has insane torque and is truly an absolute thrill to ride. I've been anti harley since my lemon 91 H softy but the new Vrod really is a bike that could turn me back to cruisers.
Been looking at buyin a Harley for a while now, Night Train or Fatboy for me.
I do like the V-Rod, hope u get wat ya want

When I bought my Road King the shop had a v-rod for sale for $6495. It needed some work but only had 15000 miles. Guess you would have to own it a year before you could ship it to Aus though. Plenty of time to get all the fixes done.
They're out there, you just have to find them.
