    [Sorted] Zena disk lock stuck...help

Has anyone had any issues with zena disc locks having a pin that won't retract fully to allow the key to be inserted.

If so how did you sort it out? My brother bought a disc lock yesterday and it now seems to be a permanent feature of the bike.

You mean he can't insert the key at all?

I can't say I've had that issue with the lock on the bike...

the key can be partially inserted, if you look down the barrel you can see one of the pins is stuck which is stopping the key from being fully inserted to unlock it.

Tried pushing the pin back? Maybe hit the inside of the lock with some WD40 then try pushing it. Make sure you dont get any on the brakes themselves obviously.

bike is stuck at his workplace at the moment so no access to anything except the bike toolkit. Tried to co-erce the pin in to moving to no avail.

He's not answering his mobile, so I'd like to hope that it is sorted out and he is on his way home.

    Update:

all sorted. Insert one pin at a time, jiggle and force seemed to sort it out.

I had similar issues with mine which I solved by shaking it lots. I also managed to align the pins by sticking a piece of wire into the lock and running it up and down.

I had one, and took it back the next day i think Piece of shit would not stop going off, no matter where i placed it on the disc, Maybe it was a dodgey one, cause when i took it back i watched the guy put it back on the shelf!!!! And that was after i told him what was wrong with it!

Ha ha, I was wondering if it was one of those alarmed ones. I've got one and after about two blasts of the alarm in close proximity it certainly becomes rather tiresome!
