Hey guys,

Glen.
bike and car. bike for summer, sunny days
car for rainy days
personally hate getting the bike wet and don't have wet gear.
use car to take my booze home.
I'm pretty sure this has been done but I have a bike, my car (missus drives it) & dads car (I drive) as riding to work every morning in the cold chilly breeze kinda killed riding a little bit... And I love my coffee & smoke on my way to work!!!
All bike baby...
The postie can carry 2 cartons of beer so why do i need a car?
Speed dosen't kill, its the slowing down that does...
5 cars and 5 bikes.
Bike for fun in the sun and car for those crappy cold wet days or just when I have to carry something that is too big for the backpack
.
Definitely. Car is handy to have if you need to carry stuff/people or if bike is out of action. Even when I was a student I had my crappy but faithful old Toyota T18 as a backup to my bike. I also tended to drive my car instead of ride if I felt I wasn't on the ball enough to ride at my best (if I was a bit tired or had a cold or something).
There's also the thought that having a car as well as a bike means that you have the option to ride the bike when you know you're really going to enjoy it, rather than running the risk that it might become another component of the day-to-day grind.
I tended to brave wet weather on the bike, but there were some horror wet days I was glad to have the car instead.![]()
Bike bike bike bike bike. Used the missus' car to get the groceries, but now have to use company car for work since I visit people in their homes. Going to miss riding nearly every day now, sigh. Longer rides on days off are now a must.
car and bike, ride or drive depending how i feel, where im going, how tired i am. i like to smoke on the way to work in peak hour freeway traffic, but i also like to lanesplit![]()
twist the throttle, discovery turbo and +2.
i found riding the bike to work everyday took the fun out of it
all bike wouldnt have it any other way well at least for now been doin it for a few years now and the weather dont bother me

It has the tardis box fitted to the back...
I'll upload pics tomorrow, hmm think i have one with 2 cartons and a bottle of scotch infact...
Speed dosen't kill, its the slowing down that does...
All scooter, rain, hail or shine!!! And who said scooter riders were soft![]()
haha, I might be exact opposite, I love cold days (I mean close to 0-5c nights)
Something about getting the hands extra cold... and if there is a heater at work, one of the best feelings in the world to get them warm. love it.
I hate remotely warm days, now with summer comming up, it sucks![]()
I was riding everyday up until I had the accident and since I cant ride for a while yet I ended up buying a cheap car and I think I'll be keeping it.
Sometimes it was fun riding everyday, but I found that I stopped riding for anything but commuting as I just didnt feel like it, so I probably wouldnt commute again.
Thanks for the replies, I'm just trying to decide wht would be best for my situation, considering I'm stuck in peak hour traffic mon-fri then I guess I'd opt for both.
Bike all the way. Have wet weather gear and have gotten really good at stuffing shopping into a large pack/down the front of my jacket/jamming it under the seat
