Being cutoff intentionally?

I ride to work daily from Karrinyup road to the city. Lane split the whole way and only take me 10-15 minutes.

Was in a taxi the other day and the driver asked me if I get pissed of with people intentionally moving to cut me off. Closing the gap so I can't get past.

Now I have some occasions where I suspected this might be happening but with the range of skills with driving in a straight line varing I put it to this.

Has anyone seen a blatant attempt to cut you off while lane splitting is it just a case of bad driving? Any accidents from this?

Yes, people do deliberately cut you off whether you're splitting or in front of them and indicating to change lanes with the right of way. Car or bike. /thread

Yup. Had a bloke do it to me on Orrong Road the other week (that road sucks in the morning) - he was pretty happy about it until his phone rang, seems you can't hear the other person with a Carbon Yoshi'd cbr600rr next to your window at 4000rpm

People opening doors... (if this does happen then it is in everyone's best interest that you stop and have words with them).
Cars moving intentionally out of their lane to block you
Even people throwing things out as you come past, or passengers hanging out the window..

Luckily most of the time they either time it far too late or too early..

Worst place I have found for it is kwinana fwy heading north between manning and mill point road.. Them some angry little drivers.

For some reason people look at driving as a race and they need to get to where they are going before you get to your destination... even though if you slip past you dont effect them. even pulling left to allow faster traffic past. it shits me.. So i let them read the letters ARB very clearly through there rear mirror until they move over. Did i mention it shits me...

had a guy in a holden hj on the freeway lean out of his window pulln his finger as i was splitn towards him. Then he pulled out into the middle of both lanes to try and stop me :S so i just went into the right hand lane and passn him, returnd the hand gesture as i passed by, while he was screaming abuse out his window at me wtf!?

happens all the time doing the Albany Hwy, etc run to work and the Fwy run home. I usually just keep going or go around. Most of them do not know the width of their own cars and don't move enough to block you.

No need to get aggro about it as it just makes you ride like shit, just wait till they stop and have a nice word with them.

What taint said - if someone goes to block me, i usually make a point of getting past, even if it means using the other side (emergency lane side).

If they've moved over heaps to block you, chances are there's plenty of room over there, if there's a gap between bumpers big enough for you to turn and get to it with...
