Bike transport needed from Smithfield in Sydney to Perth. Who have you used and how much ?? JUst got quoted 1500 big ones with no crate any other ideas from anyone. This quote was from TNT.

One tip is if you can go depot to depot rather than door to door you will save $$.

Try BikeNuts for a good price but no insurance, Only Bikes for a bit more money and insurance. BikeNuts quicker, generally. Rocket 3 from Bris to Perth was 950 with those Nuts. That was to the depot in Forrestfield. No drama. Easy peasy delivery.

I've just gone through a bunch of them for the twisties trek next year, best price so far was about $1300 per bike for 8 of them return to Adelaide, depot to depot

Not real happy with this.

Looks like we be riding over and back after all.

I used these guys when i moved to Perth, $950 and takes about 2 weeks. They pick up from your door step, and drop off to your doorstep. I chose to pick up from the depot myself when it got here. Price of crate included. They truck it down from sydney to adelaide, then its on a train to adelaide.

Bike came through without a scratch, i'd recommend them, and i dont think it hurts that they are affiliated with ex aus sbk champ krusty fergusson.

If you can crate it/get it crated its well worth it, it then become general frieght. Ducat ship thier bikes in a steel frame crate and BMW use fairly well constructed woden ones providing you get the shop to uncrate the bike carefully.

Same as Nero said, if you can get it crated up by someone over there it can be heaps cheaper. Try pm'ing Pijil, not sure if he uses the forum anymore, but he crated his up here and got it sent to Melb for something like $200.
