    Where was your quote from?

Call around. I managed to save a bit not going off the first qoute. Try google.

Nb: I purchased my tyres from Bike Tyre City.

There are different battleaxe tyres but I got mine (bt016) from the us for 270 delivered and it cost me 80 to fit them both.

    +1 to what Stoneville said.

I just purchased 2 sets (at your size) BT003's RS from here after doing a lot of looking around locally and abroad. They took 8 days to arrive and fully tracked.

Found it benenicial to purchase 2 pair to get the most out of postage (sorry other pair was for a mate).

1 set $65, 2 set $95, 3 set $290 (This is delivery cost to Perth).

If you find somewhere better, let us know.

Anywhere, you'll get charged between $30 -$80 per tyre.

    Jay D - I hope yo don't ever buy three sets, best to split and do 2 x 1.5 sets, shipping is then half i.e. 1.5 is usually $75 x 2 = $150, not $290 for 3

Big tip, do not go over $699 in one buy and you'll be OK

I was wandering how long it would take. Thinking like a cager

I had mine old tyres off and new ones on at $10/rim. Not sure about balancing though. I've heard around $35/rim with balancing (around Rocky). Bit of a drive for you though.

$550 is a good price for ride in/ride out and in stock, worth the extra cost to skip the wait and not have to take your wheels off yourself.

Unless you have you're own gear

i have my own gear but you also have to change a few sets to cover the cost of buying that gear and have the mechanical aptitude not to damage anything, if you're only changing tyres once a year or once every few years then $550 is actually saving you money
