    Biker Buildoff

Hi guys thought this would be the best place to post this im sure alot of you have seen the show and are big fans and if not you ont know what your missing out on some of the bikes built by these guys are so incredible. The reason im posting is to see if anyone here as the collection of these i used to have about 20 or so episodes that i most legally downloaded form the world web, But as my computer crashed i lost them all just wondering if anyone has them i could always provide dvds and stuff but would love to get them back so i can rewatch them again.

P.S i couldnt find a thread about this but feel free to whore this thread and talk about the great program known as Biker Buildoff

    Cheers

here's a door lets walk in and kick stuff, sorry I have no episodes the biker build off series, danger! danger! rant follows:

The bikes on that show range somewhere between alwful and unsusable. Yes it probally take's a lot of skill to fabricate a tank and fend and to mix up a theme thats been done to death. But to end up with something so dynamically flawed as the bikes that the show normally produces just boggles the mind, but wait they are actually art you cry? I they wanted to make art make art but don't pretend that you represent the people that started customising the guys and girls that built the bobbers. The bobbers were Americans cutting the bikes down to make them lighter and faster usually to emulate like the bikes they had seen in Europe during WWII and the GP racers.
They weren't about looking good and impression two year old IQ's that gets distracted buy shiney stuff. Of course the ultimate version of these types were the orginal GP racers living race to race on tracks that barely were there in order to get the next meal ticket. Were the good old days better? No i like the current crop of machinery but Biker Build off usually sticks a camera in front of guys who wouldn't normally have much to say and end up dribbling crap just for the camera.

Yes I'm in the function over form camp

Wow harsh didnt expect that im only young and very new to bikes so i def cant comment on the history that you just stated i guess there wouldnt be much o a show if there were guys just building r1s and ninjas over and over. Obviously they dont have the same function as a normal bike but either does an old fj holden yet people strive their hole lives to get into a financial situation where they could afford one of those weekend cars. Isnt it the same in the bike community wouldn't you guys like to have a custom chopper to cruise around on sundays or are you only into the functional racer bikes. Oh dont want to sound like a prick but yeah it definetley takes a shite load of skill to do the stuff they do.

Yes I have about 2 seasons worth on DVD, and another 2 box sets on the way from the US at the moment. I love the show and it was what inspired me to have a go at building my bike.
