    Biker down - Mt Lawley

T-boned a truck who pulled across him at the intersection of 5th Ave & Beaufort St.

What's left of the bike looks like a 250 virago or similar. Was one of the first on scene and biker was dead but we performed CPR for 10 minutes until the ambos got there and took him away.

Won't go into further detail around injuries but would say he'll be DOA or at best gravely injured.

Hope it was nobody you know.

It's good to know there are people out there like you willing to do the right thing until the ambos arrive.

Thoughts are with the riders family.

That's terrible. I hope beyond hope that the rider can make it.

Top marks to you Chris for stepping forward to try and save the guy. That sort of shit is worth more than what money can buy, and what possessions can give you.

bugger. a good reminder that accidents affect not just the people who get hit/hit things. the people who have to pick up the pieces are gonna be affected as well. go have yourself a good strong drink or 2 chris.

Big thumbs up for making the effort to stop & try and help Chris - good to know in this world some won't turn a blind eye to another person in trouble even if it looks beyond hope

Very sad to hear that someone was hit so badly and you had to deal with such a horrible situation

Scan those intersections and be ready for evasive action folks, we gotta do what we can to stay safe. Too many tools on the road
