On the ride with the PSB group this morning, I binned the new Benelli.
Thanks to everyone on the ride for their assistance. Thanks to Scott from PSB (your user name escapes me) for bringing a trailer to the crash scene and to everyone for lifting the bike onto the trailer (front rim smashed and jammed in suspension).
Thanks to Vicky, the Ambulance officer whose property I lost it in front of, for patching me up and assessing me.
I am a bit banged up, but ok, however the Benelli is not looking too crash hot. There were a few photos taken I think so I'm sure there may be some posts.
I had summer textile jacket with armour, kevlar jeans, riding boots, gloves and helmet, and still sustained some injuries.
Will post a few images for people who decide to go out riding without gear, to show what can happen even with gear.
Hoping that the bike will be a write off as I'm sure it will take a long time to find parts and be repaired.
Thanks again to everyone. This would have been a lot more painful without the assistance from everyone involved.
