    BMW's Superbike - thoughts

Looks promising, should be damn fast and i think it will dominate the GP. Pistons are sooo tight they are almost identicle to a F1 race car so...

Anyone going to buy 1..? Prob more expensive then a 1098r or around that mark

Well, you're going to be very pleasantly surprised by the price.

I can't say, but a lot less than people think.

Having read your other thread, I'm not sure it would be wise to buy a bike that weighs 184kg and has 190hp.

Most of us learn to ride first.

    Tight pistons from F1?
    It will cost over $50k?
A litrebike will dominate the GP?

    son, you need some schooling

Its on my short list when I buy another bike around the end of the year, along with the new R1 and the KTM RC8.
From what I have heard, its pricing is supposedly aimed at the Jap litre bike market, so I'm guessing early-mid 20's.
Valve actuation is desmodromic, is it not?

    edit: yes they look good
and take barfy's advice. furthermore loose pistons or more to the point looser (relative) piston rings allow for greater rpm ceiling as does it allow for thermal expansion.

I've heard base price will be about $23k, but BMW always has an options list as long as your arm, and makes you pay for basics. So slipper clutch will be extra, so will a brake upgrade etc etc (this is talking out of my arse, but I wouldn't be surprised at all).

Desmo valves? I thought ducati had patents and stuff?
