Its on my short list when I buy another bike around the end of the year, along with the new R1 and the KTM RC8.
From what I have heard, its pricing is supposedly aimed at the Jap litre bike market, so I'm guessing early-mid 20's.

and take barfy's advice. furthermore loose pistons or more to the point looser (relative) piston rings allow for greater rpm ceiling as does it allow for thermal expansion.

I've heard base price will be about $23k, but BMW always has an options list as long as your arm, and makes you pay for basics. So slipper clutch will be extra, so will a brake upgrade etc etc (this is talking out of my arse, but I wouldn't be surprised at all).
