    bolt-on pipes without a PC3

ive got a set of yoshis pipes on my busa atm
ive got a PC3 connected with the correct map but its not tuned properly yet.
before the pc3 was on (but with the pipes on) it was surging a little bit now and again but now with the untuned PC3 on, its surging like mad at low speed cruising.

i dont have the time or money atm to get the PC3 tuned properly, so im going to remove it as the surging is massively annoying

what i want to know is, with the pipes on and no PC3, will the bike run ok?
im not sure if the pipes will cause it run lean or rich or whatever

    try another map first

In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

^^ yeah, also try the 'zero' map to give you a baseline as well.

Or if you don't want to try it out yourself, visit me tomorrow after work and we cN do it at my joint. Already have software, cables etc.

ill give it a shot with that map. cheers cam

i did load on the map as specified on the pc website so hopefully yours will work better.
i take it this was for your busa? is there likely to be any difference between yours (07) and mine (02)?

I think you will be running lean with only the pipes and no pc so get the list of maps on dynojets website and try them all one by one till you find suitable or close enough to ride without popping or surging. After all fails just get it custom mapped and it will greatly improve everything from response to fuel consumption
