broken bike and broken bones

had a off today on soldiers road. bike is a little smashed up and i broke me collar bone and swelled up knee. i came out of a corner not very fast at all, bout 50K's then this ute infront of me braked and turned without indicating and me and the bike hit it! guy recons he didn't know i was behind him at the time. but needless to say bike is dinged up and im in a fair amount of pain!

just be carefull out there every one! it aint no fun when u have a smashed bike and broken bones!
looks like i cant ride for awhile!

They all say "I didn't see you" which might be because they didn't look.
The day one of them says "I saw you" after a collision... I'll punch them in the mouth!

I know your pain - only just got back on my bike a week ago after getting intimate with a car. Broken bones heal. Even when you look at your broken bike and when you feel at your lowest... Be thankful it wasn't worse.

feelin' it mate, having a weekend we'd rather not have here as well. Hope you mend quick and strong, when you get the OK to werk your shoulder get stuck into strengthening it.

bikes can always be replaced/rebuilt to better than new, get your body as good as you can cos your body seldom comes out better off than it started.

Crap to hear about your off. I've had so many close calls in the last week - both in the cage, and on the steed that I'm begininng to think I might move closer to uni/work to to avoid the travel (and the dickheads that go with it).

Wait until they say "I didn't see you" and then say "But he was speeding". They could tell you were speeding, but didn't see you...

i drive a rodeo ute with a custom built back of compartment boxes and it is very white.


i get other cars cutting me off or changing lanes into me every day so what hope do we have on a bike.


the other day a ditzy chick in a brand new swift rolled down her window and said " where did you come from i didnt see you there at all" i had just followed her for the length of flinders st in youkine through 2 sets of lights.... at one set i was next to her side by side.

Make sure you straighten your arm out as ya get the okay, when I busted my collar bone when I was a kid, the skin inbetween my inside of my elbow had joined up cause it had been in that position for so long, needless to say I hurt like hell and it was a few days before I could straighten it properly again
