There was a nice aussie rd400 that had been painted like an mv in a streetfighters book a few years back. One day I'll get a scan of it.

The Velo Thruxton was a true clubman racer, ride it to the track then race it, more racer than road bike, brilliant performance for a 500 single-that velocity stack on the carb wasn't for looks. You could still buy them new in in 69/70, when I started out. Tho of course, by then, the strokers had it for outright go. I did prefer it with the black tank/gold pinstriping, traditional Velo.....

This is not a cafe racer, this is a stock 850mk111 Commando Roadster; however, with the addition of the black bikini fairing(currently on), and the genuine Dunstall Decible megas, it is a fair approximation. Whole changeover is under a half-hour....and it sounds great![]()

Corks, I'd like the tank and seat from those Mecatwin bikes you posted....they are sweet.

Ranmar: I keep getting a security warning about those pics you have posted up. It's because the URL contains a username.
Could you please choose another host, something like photobucket would be ideal. Otherwise I'd be happy to host them for you.
Cheers.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.
