Can anyone recommend a mechanic?
G'day All,
Just discovered this great site!
I have recently bought a 95 Kwaka ZZR 1100. Back on two wheels after a long 10 years with out a bike! Does anyone know of a really good mechanic down around Mandurah / Rockingham that they can recommend as I am out of touch with who's good and who's not? Had a really shit job done by someone recently and need another good mechanic that I can trust.

A lot of us have used Derek Ball (mobile mechanic). He has serviced all of my bikes and I'm happy with his work. If you do a search on this forum you'll get his number and feedback. If not pm me and I'll find his number.

But would either travel to Mandurah for the OP?
I don't really know of anyone I would really trust, even after living in Mandurah for the last few years.
I used to take my bike to South City Honda if I needed anything, otherwise I did it myself if I could. Honda weren't too bad and would be the only ones I'd deal with in Mandurah after some unprofessional experiences with some other shops in the area.
Having said that I know of some people that much prefer to stay away from there since they've had bad experiences.
The guys there always looked after me though and were the best bunch in the area in my experiences. Your milage may vary

+1 Here.
Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum and have been riding for some time now. I have just brought my dream VTR1000 and live in Mandurah also. I would also like to know a decent Mechanic that would travel to Mandurah, or is in Mandurah for that matter.
Looking forward to getting the 1st service out of the way so I can jump on some of these rides with you lot.

^^^+1, if you want a good service, make the trek to perth for ktec or motopro, its not that far. k-tec does 10% off for psb-ers, which will probably save you more than you spend on fuel getting up here.

Deej gets it right..
Use the ones that PSB members use and recommend..
Word of mouth is the best advertising a business can have..

Very True about not being that far from Perth, but was hoping to be able to do the drop the bike off in the morning, training to work and picking up in the afternoon. By thelooks of it anyway, We are heading to perth to live, so it will be easier to get to and get on these rides.
Appreciate the tips ppl..;-)
