Can i ride a 600cc track bike on my P's

Hi there i have been riding for a few years, dirtbikes and such so last year i got a szr660(quite a nice rare middle size bike) which has really improved my skill and road going technique and i am now looking at completing track days i was wondering if i could get a 600cc track bike(not registered) and ride that on my P's maybe once a month as a track bike? or would it have to be within the same engine power-weight limit as the road.

Check with your local track, but pretty sure you can, its OFF ROAD use and the road rules do not apply.

There are kids out there who aren't old enough to get a car license riding sports bikes on track....

I'm guessing you may need an assessment by one of the local track instructors or something to ensure you are safe before letting you out though.

ahh the memories! I used to have one of these. Awesome bike to ride and I would still have it today if some arsewipe hadn't crashed into it/me.

from the eastern creek ride day website

    Licensing
To participate in Eastern Creek Ride Days you must hold a current license for the motorcycle you are to ride. Both competition (MA) licenses and learners permits are valid. If you are unsure whether or not you hold the correct license to ride the track, contact our office for more information on 1300 793 423, or via email info@Phillipislandridedays.com.au.

if you are still unsure or if you are riding another track, as suggested previously, contact them directly. They will be able to confirm anything with more certainty that a bunch of people here in perth.

^^^^ i know this is how it seems and i fully accept your comment BUT i have called and had the answer "ride what you are licensed to ride" and i just tried again today and they closed at 4:30 eastern standard time so i grew impatient and asked here again. the only reason i ask how everyone else got around it is i see younger people racing bikes 600cc+ at ages far younger than mine
just wondering if some form of race license bypasses it
