id assume theyd have to but dont wanna find out the hard way =|
Superbike Supply thru this forum, $3250.00 OUCH!

Manufacterer claims they have never had any break in 6 years of making them.

Potholes will damage alloy rims before CF rims as the CF rims will flex. That's the story I am told.
apparently there are some people out there...

actually i should chase him up see how theyre goin
i would love to have some myself

I'd have thought CF would actually be stiffer than aluminium, and thus would resist flexing?

sounds plausable aluminium is metal and cf is what it is carbon spun into fibre it would be more maliable(think that s spelt that way)

Yeah, but ally has a very short molecule length when cast, or even forged in comparison to the lengths of the chains in CF.
Means it can flex to a greater degree without breaking.

Unless I am mistaken, metals are crystalline, not molecular in structure.

So the problem with CF is not so much flex, but rather chipping or minor damage weakening the overall structure?

$3250 USD + $250 for shipping .. = $5k AUD + customs youd be close to $5700 for the rims alone.

    + $400 for rubber ... + $600 for rotors.

You'd want to be touched in the head.

See if they split the packages and send seperately.

I think the price isnt that bad considering what you are getting.

Still over the 1K mark on one rim.

Front is about $1200 odd USD

They would be hard to get in past customs.

    Yeah I hear you.
I have had the joy with some business's o/seas that do value
the items below $1K but at my own risk (insurance etc etc).

My last import being the mag swingarm falls under a category
of motorcycle component that didnt have a duty to be applied.

Darn Bible they have down at the Int Airport Customs, if the item can be
declared as a part other than whats listed then it avoids duty.

Might have to look into this a bit further, then there is a possibility
that the seller can still keep the value up for insurance purposes but we
can avoid a pineapple from customs.

What? No, I didn't put the expensive CF rim in my bodyboard bag officer. I've never seen it before! Honest!
