Just curious, my old CBR had a light to let you know the stand was down, and my gix doesn't. Never really noticed many, and they aren't all that useful really.

The RGV has a switch but it only turns the engine off when its in gear.
The RGV, and most other bikes built in the last 25 years.
No light, but kills engine when moving off.

Nope but the gixxer kills the engine if you put it in gear with the stand down

my 88 cbr250r has no way of stopping you i can happily ride around with my side stand down...haha not that i plan too though![]()

sidestand light? ha, never thought of that, but thats a great idea.

Honda doesn't.
The RGV will happily start in gear with the stand down(switch disconnected or broken)
I'm glad everyone has posted telling me though.

Yeah, bit fucken useless with instructions and producing the right information aren't yas.
Laurens rs250 has one, I don't pay any attention to it though.
