Drag Races With Cars - who's won

I was on the way home from Bondi on my FZ1 after a swim, when I lane split to the top of the que and end up next to one of these

He would need to merge into the lane that I was in, so I decided that I would pop in front and get out of his way. Anyway, the lights went green and he nailed it - and then it was on like donkey kong!

The Maserati was very very quick, I had about half a bike length in front before I had to back off. When we got to the lights we gave each other the thumbs up and went on our way.

I was wondering if anyone else had any other experiences with fast cars at the traffic light grand prix and how did you fare?

I beat an oldish large capacity Kawasaki in my (now sold) thoroughly modded FD RX-7, never had anything beat me when I have been riding tho . . .

Sick Maserati. Ive never pulled up next to anything that would worry the 1k but I've been flogged on the 250 by a nice Lambo.. I casually took off from the lights and missed 2nd gear. He thought my limiter bashing was the sign for 'lets do this' and proceeded to leave me for dead, shamefully kicking the bike into gear!

I should mention I had a pillion on board and that's why I backed off, I wasn't going to absolutely cane it with a pillion.

what colour was the lambo taebee i came up beside a yellow 1 a cpl of weeks ago then looked beside that and their was a brand new busa i was keen but the busa and the lambo werent busa would of owned us both but would be nice to say i raced a lambo

ZZR 1100 if I was pushed to guess, he was up for it but I am/was a reasonably experienced track and street racer so got the jump and the car did the rest . . .

My red gt250r Hyosung, vs White Skyline gt, Loftus bridge over Mitchell fw.

After lane splitting to get to the front i stopped next to a white skyline. He didnt know i was on a 250 so he revved his ricer hard till the light turned green. Then it was on i wanted to get away from the try-hard, and he was determined to show me up (not that hard against a 250). I had him for the first 30m but then i herd popping and he started to gain ground. As he passed me changing into what i believe was 4th-gear the thing spat a WHOLE lot of black smoke at me, so i backed right off......... would explain why i had such a good start

I had a dude in a Maloo try to go for it off the lights on Burns Beach Road / Marmion junction. I deliberately allowed him to stay alongside whilst looking at him trough his window, then when we hit the speed limit I nailed it and was round the roundabout and off. I saw him squirming round the roundabout in my mirrors trying to catch back up. Très amusant!

The day I traded my Z1000 in i had to shoot home on it to get rego papers.

I lived close but had some fun with a dude in a 2002ish statesman. I had split to the front... I wasn't expecting him to gun it so just casually took off. I just stayed by his mirror.. When a silvia flew past on our right i opened it up and passed the silvia. Pulled up next set of lights front of statesman... Look in mirrors and see a huge smile and thumbs up from front passenger seat. So lights change... Silvia on my right... Jump front of him and let the statesman come up on my left. Middle age dude yelling out awesome bike maaaate! Realise passenger was his wife who flashes me when i give the dude the thumbs up.

Even the day i sold that bike it bought me smiles.

Best Car/Bike run I've had was my old GPZ 1000 Vs a HSV GTS Bathurst edition. Thats a 7 liter supercharged Commonwhore. I'd toasted a Maloo on that bike, but this Bathurst GTS came real real close... On the Blade I dont get drags off cars... I'd love to know who the CBR thou repsol Rep is that gets around west perth tho ;-)

ALWAYS get raced, was much worse with my p-plates, generally the v8 clubby and statos with chicks in the back, no ive never lost a race but then again they have never stayed with me for more than around $1.50. Had a very high end looking AMG merc almost have a go with me till he thought twice, could've been interesting.

I had an amusing run with an S15 one evening through Nedlands on my Hayabusa. Neither of us were really pushing our luck, but I conceded a happy defeat after the drivers lady-friend insisted on showing how her boobs could fit through the passenger window.

I know of a certain 35GTR that played with an FNR (non official) a few years ago. Gave a zx10 a hell of a time.
