hey B,
yes you can make payment over the phone or internet I believe through the www.dpi.gov.wa.au or is www.dpi.wa.gov.au site? or by calling them.
If you drive on an expired license and hurt someone, CTP can recover because you are taken to be a person driving while unlicensed to do so! Dodgy!
cheers

or just go pay it at a post office in your lunch time?

+1 for having paid over the phone before
Just checked out the website, and they said you can't pay for them using a credit card...... does anyone know the phone number to call to pay for it over the phone? worth a try......
also, i can't get out of uni here today till late, so the lunchtime thing aint gonna happen....![]()
as long as i don't have to resit any tests, that is my biggest problem..... got too many licences to have to try to resit them all again......![]()
i think you lose it if you dont renew for a year. my gf did the same the other week and couldnt pay over the phone, she just had to drive unlicenced to the post office. you'd think the logical thing would be to provide a facility to pay over the phone instead of making them drive somewhere to renew their drivers licence...![]()

And where was her big strong man to take her![]()
Tits on a bull, buddy.
I renewed mine about 6 months late, since it expired when I was suspended and wasn't driving anyway. They didn't give a toss then, they won't care about one day late. As noted ^^ driving before you get it renewed = bad.

Section 46 of the Road Traffic Act allows for renewal of a drivers' licence up to twelve months after it has expired and this renewal has the effect of validating the licence from the previous expiry date. The Commission would have difficulty in pursuing a recovery if Police Licensing records showed a valid licence in force as at the date of the accident and the driver could produce a "backdated" licence. If you drive on an expired license and hurt someone, CTP can recover because you are taken to be a person driving while unlicensed to do so! Can't take a current pic over the phone and you can't provide your current licence for ID purposes over the phone.hey your right, you can pay rego's online but not license's WTF is with that? bloody government.

Driving with an expired licence is $100 fine which thankfully isn't to harsh although not recommended. I found out the hard way after getting pulled over a few months back. (yellow sticker and fine for expired licence while standing in the pouring rain = really really crap day).
I didnt even know mine had expired at the time (was a week overdue), somehow managed to miss the renewal notice.![]()
well, i will be heading right down to the licencing centre tomorrow morning to sort it all out..... should be all good i hope, might just have to ride the pushy down there!
