Unhappy Dropped bike and need info.!

ok so i havn't been riding for too long and i finally dropped my bike on a sandy intersection because i didn't warm it up properly before hand, it almost stalled and when i gave it some throttle the back wheel spun out and dragged the bike from underneath me on the first turn away from my house. I broke the right mirror (the casing is still ok just the actual mirror) and amazingly the rear brake pedal on the right side snapped at the 90 degree part. I'm not to sure if i should go to the suzuki dealership and try ordering new parts or find out where some wreckers are and see if i can get old stuff. I've even had it suggested to me to 'liquid cement' the rear brake pedal back on (which i don't think i'll do) or weld it back together which is a consideration if i can find somewhere to do this. My bike is a '97 suzuki gsf250 bandit. This is a grey import so i'm not too sure if it'll be easy to get second hand parts but apparently the bandit's are quite common here in perth. ANY help on the matter will recieve two thumbs up by me..

Make a phone call to enquire on prices from a dealer and a wrecker.

And to the person that suggested the liquid cement, give 'em a hard smack across the back of their head.
A word to the wise ain't necessary --- it's the stupid ones that need the advice.

Give 'Two Wheel Wreckers' in Osborne Park a go.... They had parts for my 83 Honda,OK service and price.

and agree with the 'liquid cement' smack....WTF.... Your bike is not a household item.

If you can't find some parts locally you can use www.findpart.com.au With that you can put a request for a part and wreckers//supliers will email you quotes if they have them etc.

I suggest you go locally first but. Better to see second hand parts in flesh in my experience.

thanks, i've also been suggested Motorcycle Masters in Kewdale. Apparently its a suzuki break lever i'm after. I'm attempting to take off the rest of the lever which is still connected to the bike but it's proovign a little tricky as its connected to the rear brakes and a spring to keep it up. As far as i can see there's two cross head screws and an allen screw at the back i need to take out. or should i not mess with it?

thanks heaps! i'm giving it a go now but if i don't succeed i'll take you up on it. Thing is i'm going into my fourth year of mechanical engineering and i can pull aparts the likes of two strokes and what not so it'll be a little embarrassing if i can't handle this.

pull it off and take it down to 2 wheel wreckers, you might be lucky and find something compatible even if its not the correct part.

when i dropped my bike i did it on the left and damaged the same parts (+ more). take the old lever off, take it to motorcycle masters and tell them you want a new one. it cost me less than a 100 for a new lever
