No more worries about loud exhausts, you got to put a speeker on the end, record your historic bike sound and play it as you ride and pretend to go through the gears

92 ft/Lbs Though!
That's like 124nM. Better than almost every sportsbike out there.
Electric vehicles can't really be judge by horsepower because the motors don't rev as high as internal combustion engines. So because Power = torque x revs not really comparable measuring horsepower.
End of science lesson.

Yeah wouldn't want to try and outrun the cops on it. I think they might catch you 50 miles down the road looking for an extension cord.

Also, what's the latest research on how environmentally friendly electric vehicles are - after all the environmental costs of the battery creation and disposal are taken into account?

Its intresting the internal combustion engine has had 100 years and two world wars of development (three if you count the cold war) its going to take a while for whatever take over to catch up. The new bateries Li-ion will out last the vehicle they are fitted too, slowly slowly things are comming along and like it or not Electric is currently the most fesiable option hydrogen is still at least 20 years off.

"The bike is capable of 120mph with the right gearing." - Regardless of power or torque figures, 200kmph falls so far below the benchmark it's a joke calling it a superbike.

I won't have a problem with electric bikes when their performance is equal to or greater than that of internal combustion bikes they're designed to compete with. In the case of this electric superbike, the performance is subpar.
I get that calling it a superbike could just be a misnomer, but it's useless as a commuter too with the limited range.

This thread might need to be moved from "General Bike Talk" to "General Science Talk"
Wait there is such a section on PSB right?

It has reached the time where it is no longer a case of we should research more into electric. it is now we MUST research into electric.
I think its awesome. Within 2 or 3 years massive jumps will be made developing electric vehicles and petrol will be left behind.

Trust you to plug that here. Hahaha.
Don't forget the electric mower- strap a seatbelt on that thing and you've got another electric 'vehicle'.
