hi all, falcores mum here.his name is andrew w marshall, we got the late night ph call early thur morning, i was up at the camp in marvel loch..he is in dredfull condition,he was operated on for 7 hours thurs arvo and night....they are keeping him asleep for now and i hope its for weeks as he will be screaming when they wake him, if his meds arnt good enough.
he has a steel traction rod suporting his broken leg, a steel frame into his pelvis both sides to hold it together.they have sewn his bladder back together, his kidneys are compromised ,a cracked L 5 in his back broken ribs amonge other things. smart arse comments

you idiots.im sitting here with tears streaming everytime i think about it properly, i adore my son as dose his dad, his sis eva and his little niece lucy....he is in icu and will be for awhile i think..this is no joking matter, you all have people who love you ,you are not lone agents, you wreck lives and tear the hearts out of people who have spent there life loveing you, if we loose you we will spend the rest of our lives grieving..lets see how many of you are real mates in the mths and years ahead....for fuck sake slow down..
now ive got the job of getting his gear out of the car and plastic bags that i got form the hospital yesterday, his bloody cloths. his jacket, helet ect.its all i have to hold for awhile.........for any suport for andrew tex me 0429090243 or eva "sis 0427399100.......please .slow down ,the pain you cause is dredfull and constant to those who love you. Hang in there, we aren't able to visit yet of course - but plenty of people on PSB are keen to drop in once Andrew is stable enough (and you give the nod) and show support.

Dearest Dianne and Andrew,
My husband Mike and I understand your pain, it is nearly 6 months to the day that we lost our son Rohan in a motorbike accident, please understand that the comments and well wishes on this site are well intended, if though at times they don't quite reflect that. No, the grief and pain does not leave, my son loved bike riding and I try to console myself that he left us doing something he loved. Even though broken your son is still with you, i pray that he will recover and bring joy into your life again. Rohan left behind a young family as well as us, no they don't slow down, "it will never happen to me", but it does and it will continue to happen.

As reflected above, I give you my personal apologies if any of the comments I've made upset you, but I didn't notice any comment that was particularly malicious? I did notice a lot of hurtful comments made on the news articles online, and believe me, I'm unhappy with them too.

Please know we as a community have been trying to offer support in any way that we can, and we're more than happy to help out if you need assistance or anything.

We hope your son makes a full recovery, sympathies for what you must be going through.

none of the comments were made to be malicious. Some may seem that way but most were posted the way we normally talk to andrew. Just everyone has a different way of saying get better soon.

But i hope he makes a full recovery soon. Rides just wont be the same without him.

Sorry to finally hear of the severity of Andrew's injuries, please know that he has all our best wishes, we all hurt when one of our own gets hurt like this.

As has already been said, and I am sure will be said again, If there is ANYTHING that Andrew or yourselves need please just let us know.

I think you will be pleasantly amazed at just how many friends Andrew has when we can finally come down in person to see and support him.

I have not posted previous because I do not know Andrew however I have been so monitoring the site for news and as a parent I have been through this with my Daughter.

I understand where you are at and I could not even speak to people for about a month, shut down my business for that time was so hard to cope.

If I can offer any advice please take some time to look after yourself and accept any help you are offered that helps you. (We are all different so what helped me may not be same for you)

I found a good councelor was a help spent 2.5 hrs there before I was to see my daughter. Then some time with hospital councelling service.

She was on life support for 5 weeks and we have her back now and she is doing well.

I really wish like others here that we can do or say something that can assist you and please know that there is such a strong support here even from those that have never met you.

We're all hoping that Andrew pulls through, I can't even begin to understand your pain.
That statement you are referring to wasn't a comment towards Andrew and Mike's situation, it's just one of the members on here's signature and as such wasn't a flippant response to a nasty accident.
That member is one of Andrew's friends and has been offering him support, please don't think poorly of us for an out of context piece of text on a message board.
