hi one and all, andrew was out of his leg op yesterday but they didnt bring him around as they had another op today, started at 8.30 and finshed just after 2.30 today. this op was for more internal fixing and to start trying to put his hip back together, they said their are many many many more ops that he will have to go through over the next 12 months, going to be a long road to recovery this one. mum said they are keeping him under now for some time, not sure when they will wake him up after this op.

at this stage still in ICU.

ApatheticEnd is bringing back my ps2 tomorrow from when he had his off - I might go drop it up to andrew, and he can play when he's able to.. might fight off some boredom.. for a while at least..

im just glade mum got pics of all the frames they had on andrew so he can see what it looks like when he wakes up, as all that will be left will be all the wounds lol

the 3 broken ribs they have done nothing for as they cant really.
Liver was cut from one of the ribs, so that has had surgery on it.
Kidneys have spat the dummy with all the blood losse but look like they are working again so all good.
between thursday last week and today andrew has had bolts and frames holding the two hips together, with a large frame going between them and also bolts and frame holding the leg together, also a bolt through the knee with 10kg weight on it to help hold the hip . they have had to open the whole front up so has staples just about full length from pubic line to just below chest. the op today was to do more work on the internals and also get the hip frame of from the out side. so he wont look so scary now , because he must have landed on his knees he has taken them down to the bone as well, they are going to need ops later on down the track. the lower back was smashed, this shouldnt afect the walking they say, so fingures crosed. i know one thing once hes back on the bike again he can get leather pants as well, as thats were most of the skin damage is, gravel rash, as he had only jeans on and they didnt stand up to it, were as his leather jacket held up . they did some exrays the other day on his left hand as they said that was broken as well, but they are not really bothered about that just yet. we had a look at the MIR the other day at the hospital, and the hip is in about 5 pieces, they were puting in plates and bolts today to try and put it all back together.

andrew is still in ICU for a little longer and at this stage they are keeping him asleep again. but once hes in a ward and not in ICU and awake i will let every one know as he would love the company im sure of it

Major damage. Im very sympathetic for Falcore and family. Im sure all will go well and all the bits and pieces will go back where they should be. Its amazing what the mechanics of the body (surgeons) can do. All the best for a speedy recovery.
