It seems that the government has finally decided that they are losing too much revenue from motorcycles going through speed cameras. Canít remember the exact figure, but I think it was about $6 000 000 that they are losing every year.
So now they want to do something about it. They are currently trialing front number plates on some cop bikes with a view to making front plates law.
Nothing has yet been to Parliament, so it wonít be happening too soon, but they do want to bring it in. If that happens I will have to sell my ZX-6R and buy a bloody cruiser!
Weíve all seen a speed camera up ahead and gunned it and given the camera a wave on the way through. But those days are over.
I am now of the opinion that if you see a multi nova, brake hard and try to avoid having your picture taken. If they arenít losing that much revenue, it wonít be worth changing the law. I think we need to stop deliberately pissing them off!
What do you guys think? Would you consider trying to avoid having your picture taken?
