It seems that the government has finally decided that they are losing too much revenue from motorcycles going through speed cameras. Can’t remember the exact figure, but I think it was about $6 000 000 that they are losing every year.

So now they want to do something about it. They are currently trialing front number plates on some cop bikes with a view to making front plates law.

Nothing has yet been to Parliament, so it won’t be happening too soon, but they do want to bring it in. If that happens I will have to sell my ZX-6R and buy a bloody cruiser!

We’ve all seen a speed camera up ahead and gunned it and given the camera a wave on the way through. But those days are over.

I am now of the opinion that if you see a multi nova, brake hard and try to avoid having your picture taken. If they aren’t losing that much revenue, it won’t be worth changing the law. I think we need to stop deliberately pissing them off!

What do you guys think? Would you consider trying to avoid having your picture taken?

Have we all......that's a bit presumptuous isn't it?
    Fucked if I have.

    What do I think?
I think it's twats like you that have brought this upon yourselves.

Sell your sports bike and buy a cruiser. By the sounds of it, that's all you should be allowed to ride.

Edit...I just found your other post......you call yourself a motorcycle instructor

    aaah i see ...

u needed a way to be able to sell ur sports bike and ride a cruiser without looking gay ...

so uve been intentionally speeding thru mulitnovas trying to get the government to put licence plates on the front of bikes ..

    seriously ..

speed up for a camera .. never ... brings unwanted attention . and has ramifications ..

do ppl really think they can flaunt the law and government will stand around and do nothing .. esp when they see it as lost dollars ..

ohh well if im going to have a ugly plate stuck to the front of my bike ..i may as well swap down to a honda
Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

As to that has anybody seen the Police bikes they are being trialled on? Any idea of what the plates (???) look like?

    ‘90% useless’ and ‘10% distorted'
