I work at Bentley hospital in Occupational therapy and had a patient who was well over a 100, insisted she wore her wig everyday wich really looked very charming (not)
One day I walk into her room and she is on the phone to her baby who is 80 years old.!!!!!!!!!! I walk out and come back a little later to find her with the phone still in her hand so I wake her up and she continues the conversation with her son...she then falls again so the nurse takes the phone off her and I sit on her bed and ask her..So Mrs so and so..how is your son to wich she replies...son? What son, I don't have a son. :

I love old people. I use to work in a nursing home...and whilst some of the work was sad and depressing...it made me realise that even if they are older, they dont lose their sense of humour or their humaness. I found working with the older of our community the more I learnt about life.
