    Helmet recommendations

Could anyone recommend someone in Perth that has a good range of helmets in stock at reasonable prices? I'm heading to the city for one day only & don't have time to go from dealer to dealer.

I'm currently using an Arai Viper GT (XS) and have had Shark lids before. I know AGV don't fit me & have no experience with Bell, Shoei, Nolan, HJC etc.

I tend to ride all over the place, so is there a lid with Australian approval that is also Snell/ACU/CE approved?

    Thanks

    Hey,

Ive just done some helmet hunting myself - went to a few different places, read heaps of reviews etc. I ended up buying a Shoei - bt they can be costly. I chose it because I have problems with my neck and there are pretty light, also it was a real good fit for me when I wear my hair in a high ponytail - it didnt hurt and push into my head (dont know if this is a custom thing for female helmets), I also feel like I have better range of movement - partially because its not heavy but also it just sits nicely.

I went to the Helmet Warehouse and tried on heaps of different ones, than went and read some reviews. But Helmet Warehouse in Vic Park were pretty handy and a one stop shop - they can custom order and there offer discounts for PSB members.

    Good Luck

    Thanks,

sounds like Helmet Warehouse are worth a visit. Does anyone have experience with Shark helmets? Just wondering what the ventilation's like on them (wasn't so good on European models)

Just go to Causeway bike shops. Between them, they have Shoei, Arai, Shark, AGV and various other brands.

If your further north, Cully's Yamaha have a big range with all of those listed above + icon, Rjays, HJC, KBC etc. A pretty broad range for the one shop. I havent been to 5 Star Yammi, but im guessing them and Cully's probably stock similar stuff.

My wife likes her Shark. The ventilation on my new OGK is AWESOME, as is the fit, although my last 2 helmets were AGV, so the OGK might not suit your head

Had a shark RSI. Ventilation was pretty much nonexistent.

+1 to this. Causeway bikeshops are the way to go.

Have had a HJC and a Shark. I prefer the shark. More comfortable for me and lighter. Every helmet is slightly different so go try a few on and see which is more comfortable for you.
I agree with Dirty32 and Mr Bean. Cully's and The Causeway shops will give you a good range to try on but the advantage with Causeway is that Helmet House is about 5 minutes
the road so gives you more of a range to try on.
