Since the hand controlled motorcycle was completed, I've been working on two new projects - a wheelchair accessible hovercraft and a wheelchair accessible ski boat.

As you can see, we are starting to build a collection of equipment for people with disabilities to enjoy.

The projects are going extremely well. We have a team of 8 student engineers volunteering their time as part of their university projects to turn these projects from a concept to a reality.

However since we are all 100% volunteering our time, we are relying on the community to support us .

One hurdle we are facing and havnt yet been able to overcome is sourcing an engine for the hovercraft. It will run of a standard motorcycle engine hence why am posting in the motorcycle topics.

I have posted some specs about the engine in the following post:

If anyone is able to help out or provide any suggestions on how we can get an engine at a reasonable price fairly quickly, I would love to hear from you.

    Take care,

    Darren

I know this might not be what you're after - buy buying a written off yet running wreck from a small vehicle like an early 90's Pulsar or Corolla might be your answer, and gearing things up/down. You'll have all the bits you need, plenty of torque and HP, and it might just end up being cheaper if you find a good specimen.

I had an offer for someone to buy my car to use the engine in a go-kart/dune buggy.
