I saw a story about a hydrogen powered Honda car on Top Gear a few weeks back and was quite impressed. They are in production in California, which has strict emission laws. Water comes out of the exhaust. The most abundant element on the planet (?), sounds like the way to go.

The idea of hydrogen power is a great idea be it for a bike or car. Lets hope they start getting something into production sooner than 2047.

No. The power density of hydrogen means you get about 30-50% the power of petrol.

Mazda have a 1.3L rotary hydrogen concept that is as powerful as a 1.3L piston engine on petrol.

But... combine it with turbocharging and I'm sure it could be more than viable.
