How to get rid of a wreck

My old zzr has been sitting for quite a few months. The thing is pretty fubar. I just need to get rid of it but not sure what avenues are there to do.

The bike doesn't have much value and almost everything is wrong with it. To name a few (leak forks, engine over 100k and now makes a knock sound when trying to turn over, bodywork all screwed, seat ripped, bent levers. chain snapped, bent swingarm, leaky radiator etc etc etc

Only valueable stuff, probably the wheels, rearsets, some misc parts of the engine (like water pump, radiator fan) dash, headlight etc

so how do I get rid of it? Thanks in advance

    Dude...

Put it in Pay it Forward and it will be "dibs'd" in hours, if not minutes...

of course of course, I was just wondering as I wondered what I could do if no one will take it (curiosity that is all)

I thought about selling the valuable bits myself, but then I had no idea how to get rid of the other stuff...

I saw the fairings three years ago and they were pretty fucked then.
I doubt this has changed much.

this is true, it was a learner bike for me and my brothers and it has been lowsided a few times, eventually most tabs have been broken. I ended up trying to pastic weld them/ paint it, which gave me a couple of years of a bit of self respect.

    ---

I will try to get some pictures tonight, but the condition is VERY VERY POOR, the only value is to salvage parts here and there, and not to get the thing running or sell cosmetic bits.

What edmands said... Give Gav (GD Engineering) a shout.

I have a feeling he'd take the whole thing

Failing that, there are three or more bike wreckers in Perth, give them a yell and ask what they'd offer. Don't tell them how shit it is, let them work it out.

Yep speak to Gav he's in need of bits. Also xsorxpire has a zzr that needs to be repaired. Between them they could probably get 2 bikes going again.

Just leave it out the front of your house overnight with a price tag attached to it saying something like "$12,990"...

You wont see it the next morning.

Dude before you get rid of it can you do me a favour please?

Take it to city west and let it get clamped.

then drag it on a ute, remove clamp and repeat until they run out of clamps.

    Thanks

    This. So much this.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon! Press the brake foot as you roll around the corners, and save the collapse and tie up.
