Absolutely fantastic weather ... it completely bucketed down during the test which made life interesting, lucky I had all the right gear on though.

I did the test at Joondalup ... I think it was probly a bit easier cos it was raining so hard ... the tester probly didn't want to be out there either.

Yeah true. Also you have an extra 2 metres to your Emergency stop as well.

Would you rather be in a cosy office or out in the rain????

    I know the answer.......

The office is nice at the moment cos I don't have a bike but I sorta think I'd like to be in the rain on a bike more ... apart from a couple of lessons and the test I havn't riden for about 2 months and I'm having withdrawl symptoms, shaking and stuff

They could make the emergency stop about 3 meters shorter in the dry (or wet) and it would still be a walk in the park. I was romping it in for room in the 12 meters at 50kph. And with ditching the figure 8's it has made it even easier ... not that I'm complaining cos I passed but I really do think the testing standards should be quite a bit higher ... maybe to show that you can control a bike properly you should have to do a wheelie and a stoppie as part of the test

Yeah you have got a point there. The examiners are not too happy with abolishing the figure 8's. They too believe the tests is getting easier and easier by the day. What I have heard is they are planning to bring back the figure 8's but only in confined areas and carparks. So this assessment is not deemed illegal.

What bike did you do the tests on??? Cos with the E stops, it really helps if you have a bike that is capable of stopping in a short distance.

Did the test on a Suzuki DL650 V-strom (12000 kms old). Personally not my preffered choice of bike but it is definitely very stable and made figure O's and emergency stops pretty darn easy.
