Idiot bike rider in my suburb- How to deal with?

So I have a guy that seems to think it's cool to tear around my suburb on his stoopidly loud 250, looks like a red honda vtr250 or similar underpowered and overly loud bike.I live in a suburb just north of Wanneroo. I live on a corner, in a fairly quiet suburb, besides from this tool that see's fit to use my corner to show off how many horsepower he has swapped for decibels. He will do this at anytime of day or night, and often disturbs my kids sleep, or bedtime.

So the question arises, how do I deal with this tool? Or how would you deal with it?

Actually, I'm not sure that's a good thing to claim anymore.

We have had to deal with the same kind of issue a few times,

Most times a simple polite chat to the person involved will see it right...(most times...!)

On 1 occasion we had to deal with a guy on a motocosser Honda CR500 who made the fatal mistake
of coming past our place at the same time every night (About 3 am)
I tried to talk to him but he told me to F%@K OFF...!
    (and many of the neighbours)

This went on for weeks & weeks until we strung up some nylon cord between 2 lamp posts at about wheel height..
Funny enough it stopped after that...

I don't condone putting real rope of any kind across the road....do like the oldies do and stand there with a hose hahaha or maybe someone accidently dropped some oil on the corner.

Dumping sand on the road would probably work.
If their smart they'll slow down and then find the area less thrilling.

Why hate on them do much, we've all done it, heck the WSR's do it all the time.

Surely it can't be that loud,

Be carefull, telling them off might cause installation of items such as air horns, I've seen it done in the past
When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be AWESOME instead. True story.

I can't believe all the oil/sand/rope replies. If it was someone else doing this there would be half of PSB in here baying for blood and forming a lynch mob. Can you all please list your suburbs so that I can stay the fuck away from them.

If you're serious and not trolling - That's seriously fucked up. If you're serious and you thought it would go down well being posted on here - you're a fucking idiot.

I heard of a couple of oldies around the Stoneville area going to Parkerville along the old railway line that used to put up bits of string from one side of the track to the other so that when all the kids who go out along there on there bikes tearing shit up get taken out.
I believe they also put it at a height sometimes that it would nearly grab onto the open area between your helmet and shirt.
Happened a number of times and I'm pretty sure ACA did a story on it at one point, Obviously over-dramatizing it but still; This shit does happen.
