I just got the renewal forms from swannies for my R1 and they jumped up the premium a shit load and devalued the bike but almost a grand!
Has anyone else had probs like that and is there anyone better like Western QBE or anyone else?

Got mine through Arista Underwriting. They were much cheaper than Swann and a bit cheaper than QBE.

Their number is 1300 274 782.

Only catch is you have to be over 25. They won't insure people under 25.

i called them today for a quote and they also wont insure you if your bike is not locked in a garage or a shed.

email chris.tapping@morganandwacker.com.au , and ask for a quote , he an insurance broker, most of the bike stuff is with wqbe , but he doesnt do a bad job

tell him dave corker from perth referred you - no guarentee of miracles tho

ps with swann you can ring them up and grumble and they will put the bikes valuation back to where it was.

SHANNONS beat everyone by over $400 and costs you no more to pay monthly. All you gotta say is you ride your bike on the weekends in a club (PS and you are classified as an enthusiast and they will insure you. Best part is they dont care if you modify your bike cos enthusiasts do that!!

They rock

Ditto, Shannons were cheapest buy about 450 squid. RAC wouldnt even give me a quote I may be under 25, but have had a car insured with them for three years never made a claim and a clean driving record (not even a speeding fine), but as soon as its over 500cc and under 25=uninsurable. Swann were about 600 more expensive again.

I just insured the ZX7R today. I was shopping around a fair bit and got the best deal from SGIO. Shannons were 700 bucks dearer. GIO was more than twice the price of SGIO ($3490 annual premium!?)WQBE was 400 bucks dearer.
Im 25, havent had a road bike for 2 yrs. Their agreed value on thee bike is $9000 (ha!) it's $1140 p/a with a $300 excess. Full comp cover. is that good
