Lane splitting - actions and consequences
First off, this is not about whether splitting is legal, whether splitting and filtering are the same thing, blah blah blah.
There's eleventy billion hatefest trolled out pile of shit threads arguing about this and I don't give a fuck.
This thread is about actions and consequences, regardless of the law.
I want to know (REGARDLESS OF TEH BORKLESNORKLE LAW) the proportion of splitters vs not here. And I want to know what police consequences there have been for splitting in, say, the last six months.
Please restrict cop consequences in poll to incidents in the last few months.

Split whenever I feel it is safe and cars are shitting me. As for consequences see Alan Gill R.I.P. in the In Memoriam section.

I spilt everwhere when the traffic is stationary and only on the freeway if traffic is locked and there is no room for cages to swap lanes on me.
My only incedent was when I left my spare helmet on the side of the bike and it smashed into a car
Did more damage to the bike as it cracked my faring.

R license - don't split. Reason: Can't be bothered. Also when I get to my destination I always wish I was still on the bike

R class ... I chose split everywhere but if traffic is doing speed limit I don't bother. I split slower than speed limit and stationary.
been past cops and haven't heard shit from them. Most don't seem to care. Maybe i just haven't gone past a traffic cop yet

I split everywhere and it all depends on the room i got. As for splitting past cops only do it in slow and standing traffic for obvious reasons.

R license, Split everywhere and have never had a run in with the cops. Not splitting on a bike is like having wings but not flying.

I will generally split anywhere I feel it is safe to do so-moving or stationary traffic.
I have split past cops in the past with only looks given, but as a rule I try to avoid giving any reason at all for the men in blue to want to get my autograph

R class, split everywhere, never had a problem with the plod. normally i nod at them if i split up next to one at the lights. (it almost indicates that you have nothing to hide)
*no officer, there isnt a kilo of heroin under my pillion seat*
Heck, I even split up to dual-turning lanes (when the lights are red of course)
ala
orrong rd south onto leach hwy west.
or
orrong rd north to great eastern hwy west.
or
Kiwnana north offramp onto leach hwy eastbound etc etc
nothing more enjoyable than waiting for the green, gunning it, and leaning off the bike forcing it round.

R license, I'll split to the front of lights, but I don't often ride in heavy enough traffic to get held up by jams. Most times I'm on the bike, traffic is moving at the limit, and that's good enough for me.
