leather jacket reviews please

i know there is thread after thread on jackets here but there not answering what i am after..ok does anyone here have any feedback on the leather jackets from bikers gear australia????in particular there viper jacket???i am new to riding and i still have to buy a helmet and boots with a 1k budget.i plan on buying alpine stars jacket when the funds recover from buying a new bike.cheers matt

What's wrong with the jackets down at Dale brittons? Was in recently and they have lots of options at good prices. Got the missus a new icon jacket for only $300

with my 1k budget in mind by the time i fly over and back the only thing im buying is a
t-shirt

You could always look out for big-name brand jackets second hand. Especially over east, there would be plenty in your local Gumtree or rider forums like this one.

If you are not afraid of buying online, buy from the USA, you would be able to get a leather jacket and some boots for 600 bucks or less (depending what you get) Alpinestar brand etc.

And then spend the remaining on a helmet, the XR1000 are on sale, you might be able to snap a bargaiin.
