    It was actually riderless. The loading ramp on a herc malfunctioned and the bike belonging to a soldier relocating to Perth slipped loose of its tie downs and fell to earth.

    If you want to be pedantic it's a confusion over motard mixed up with trail/dirty. A trials bike and rider would have ridden over the roof in the allotted time, not put their foot down and moved on to the next obstacle.
