I would actually be curious to see if bumps while on the bike would effect the head on the hard drive for reading/writing.

Yes it would for sure. I worked on a project putting a PC on board a loco and they died within days. Tried many different drives and even talked with the manufacturers -who said it would be OK. We went solid state (flash, IDE drive) in the end, but that limits available space.

those exist??
r/w to solid state across something like usb2.0 would be nice n quick. Hell convert it straight to mp4 while u are at it.
I'd hate to prang a bike with that much gear in there!
